These are garment measurements, not body measurements. Lay a similar item flat without stretching it and compare its width and length. Chest width is measured straight across, not around your body. Length runs from the high shoulder point beside the neckline to the hem. Sleeve length runs from the centre back of the neck, across the shoulder and down to the cuff.
