The Noise Between

I Finally Uploaded My ADHD Emergency Kit to Gumroad.

The redesigned Neurodazzled ADHD Emergency Kit cover.

Now What?

After weeks of second-guessing, tweaking, and doubting myself, I finally did it: I uploaded my very first digital product: an ADHD Emergency Kit (PDF) to Gumroad. For those of us with ADHD, you know what a marathon that really is. Not just the designing, but the finishing. The clicking “Publish” even when your brain is screaming it’s not ready yet. And now comes the part nobody tells you about: promotion.

Why I Made an ADHD Emergency Kit

I built this kit because I know what it’s like to have one of those days where ADHD hits you like a storm. Forgetting appointments, spiraling in overwhelm, drowning in clutter, or even just staring at the wall because the executive function tank is empty.

I needed a grab-and-go set of tools I could use in those moments. Something printable. Something simple. Something that didn’t feel like another overwhelming planner with 500 pages I’d never use. So I turned my own messy notes, coping strategies, and quick resets into a compact PDF toolkit, a lifeline I could share with others who get it.

The Big Question: How Do I Promote It?

I’ve hit “publish.” I’ve posted the Gumroad link. Now the ADHD brain freeze sets in. Do I start posting TikToks? Do I write blog posts with keywords like ADHD tools for adults or best ADHD printables? Do I run a Facebook ad and hope someone clicks?

I’m not just asking for myself. I think this is the hidden struggle for so many of us creators: we finally make something real, but then we get stuck in the fog of “how do I get it out there without sounding pushy or fake?”

Learning As I Go (Hello, Canva)

Here’s the honest truth: I’m still figuring it out. And sometimes not. I’m learning Canva one step at a time. I’ve never even created a carousel before. Half the time I’m clicking around wondering, how do people make those perfect polished posts? But here’s the thing, at some point you just have to upload and learn as you go. Otherwise, procrastination wins. And I’ve lost too many good ideas to that trap already.

What I’m Discovering About Promotion

Tell the story, not just the product: People don’t care about “a PDF.” They care about why I made it, and how it saved me during my last spiral. SEO is my friend: Writing posts like this with keywords like ADHD tools, Gumroad ADHD kit, ADHD productivity PDF helps Google help me. Community first: The more I share with ADHD communities (Reddit, Facebook groups, Instagram), the more I understand what people actually need.

Why I’m Sharing This Here

I’m writing this on Medium because maybe someone else is sitting on a finished project right now, a digital download, a toolkit, a course idea, and you’re hesitating to hit “Publish.”

DO IT.

And if you’ve already done it? Talk about it. Let people see the behind-the-scenes struggle. That’s what makes your work real. For me, the ADHD Emergency Kit is just the start. I want to keep building digital tools that actually make sense for neurodivergent brains — quick, practical, compassionate. If you’re curious, you can check it out here on our neurodazzled website: neurodazzled.com And if you’ve been through this same “I finally uploaded, now what?” moment, I’d love to hear how you promoted your first digital product.

Because maybe the answer is simple: we promote by sharing our stories. So, let’s see how this goes. Will keep you updated.
